Instructions for Use and Care of Dental Mirrors

To preserve the optical quality and durability of your dental mirrors, follow the guidelines below. Handle each mirror carefully to avoid scratches, corrosion, or damage to the reflective surface.

Cleaning & Disinfection

1. Before disinfection, rinse the mirror thoroughly under running water and detach any removable parts from the handle.
2. Use a neutral or multi-enzyme disinfectant and follow the manufacturer’s instructions for concentration and soaking time; do not exceed 2 hours.
3. For ultrasonic cleaning, do not place the mirror together with sharp instruments to prevent surface scratches.
4. After disinfection, rinse thoroughly with warm distilled water to remove residues. Avoid tap water or solutions containing chlorides.
5. Dry completely with a soft, lint-free cloth before sterilization.

Sterilization

1. Sterilize only in an autoclave: 121 °C for 15 minutes or 134 °C for 3–4 minutes.
2. Individually pack each mirror in a sterilization pouch.
3. Place the mirror with the reflective side facing the paper (to prevent the plastic film from sticking and causing damage).
4. In the sterilizer, orient the mirror with the reflective surface facing outward to help extend service life and increase the number of sterilization cycles.
5. Avoid rapid cooling after sterilization. Do not boil or soak in aggressive chemical disinfectants.

Warranty Terms

Detachable dental mirror handle — warranty period of 12 months from the date of purchase. Micro mirror, metal/stainless-steel mirror, and mirror with handle are considered consumables; once used, they are no longer covered by warranty.
